Author Fee

The Journal of Advanced Nursing and Health Systems Innovation (JANHSI) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. All published articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication without subscription fees or access restrictions.

To support the costs associated with manuscript processing, editorial management, double-blind peer review, professional copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, online publication, website maintenance, and long-term digital preservation, JANHSI applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to manuscripts that have been accepted for publication.

Editorial decisions are made independently and are based solely on the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance of the manuscript. The ability of authors to pay the APC has no influence on the editorial or peer-review process.

APC Rates

The current Article Processing Charges are as follows:

Original Research, Review Article, Systematic Review, Scoping Review, Meta-analysis, Short Communication, Case Report/Case Study, Evidence-Based Practice Report, and Quality Improvement Report IDR 350,000 (approximately USD 25)*

 

There is no submission fee or peer-review fee. The APC is charged only after the manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

Waiver and Discount Policy

JANHSI is committed to promoting equitable access to scholarly publishing and supporting researchers from diverse backgrounds.

The Editorial Board may grant full or partial APC waivers or discounts under the following circumstances:

  • Authors from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), based on the latest World Bank country classification.
  • Invited manuscripts commissioned by the Editorial Board.
  • Special Issues approved by the Editorial Board.
  • Active reviewers and editorial contributors, as determined by the Editorial Board.
  • Other exceptional circumstances considered on a case-by-case basis.

Requests for APC waivers or discounts should be submitted by the corresponding author at the time of manuscript submission. Approval of waiver requests is at the sole discretion of the Editorial Board.

Payment Policy

An APC invoice will be issued to the corresponding author after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

Payment must be completed before the article proceeds to final production and publication.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Bank Transfer
  • PayPal (where available)

Detailed payment instructions will be provided together with the official invoice.

Failure to complete payment within the specified timeframe may delay publication.

Transparency and Editorial Independence

JANHSI is committed to transparency in all publication charges.

Revenue generated through APCs is used exclusively to support the journal's publishing activities, including:

  • Editorial management and manuscript handling.
  • Double-blind peer-review administration.
  • Professional copyediting and language editing.
  • Typesetting and article production.
  • DOI registration through Crossref.
  • Online publication and website maintenance.
  • Long-term digital preservation and archiving.
  • Metadata management and indexing support.
  • Continuous improvement of journal quality and publishing services.

The payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance for publication. Likewise, an author's inability to pay does not influence the editorial evaluation of a manuscript. All editorial decisions are made independently by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board based solely on scholarly merit and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards.

Refund Policy

Article Processing Charges are non-refundable once the manuscript has entered the production stage, including copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, or online publication.

Any exceptions to this policy will be considered by the Editorial Board on a case-by-case basis.
