The editorial board of Oncology Network for Comprehensive Outcomes (ONCO) invites researchers to submit manuscripts in accordance with the following guidelines. Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian, in clear and proper academic language, in line with the journal’s language policy.
1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
Original Research: Clinical, experimental, or epidemiological studies (3,000–5,000 words).
Case Reports: Unique and innovative clinical case reports (1,500–2,500 words).
Short Communications: Brief reports of preliminary or significant findings (maximum 2,000 words).
2. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized as follows:
A. Title Page
Title: Concise, informative, and representative of the content (maximum 20 words).
Authors’ Names: Full names without academic titles.
Affiliations: Department, institution, city, and country.
Corresponding Author: Active email address and phone/WhatsApp number.
B. Abstract and Keywords
Structured Abstract: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion (maximum 250 words).
Keywords: Three to five keywords for indexing purposes.
C. Main Text (IMRaD)
Introduction: Background, significance of the cancer-related problem, and study objectives.
Methods: Study design, population/sample, inclusion and exclusion criteria, interventions, and statistical analysis. Ethical approval number must be stated.
Results: Objective presentation of findings using text, tables, and figures without unnecessary repetition.
Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with previous studies, integrated oncology implications, and study limitations.
Conclusion: Summary of key findings and recommendations for future clinical practice or policy.
3. Technical Format and References
File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
Text Format: Arial or Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1.5 line spacing.
Tables and Figures: Placed at the end of the manuscript or in separate files; image resolution minimum 300 DPI.
References: APA 7th Edition citation style; reference managers such as Mendeley or Zotero are recommended.
4. Submission Procedure
All manuscripts must be submitted via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform or through the official editorial email. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
5. Open Access Policy
ONCO operates under a Gold Open Access model to ensure free and immediate access to published research.
Articles are freely available online without subscription fees.
Publications are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) or CC BY-NC.
Authors retain full copyright of their work.
6. Article Processing Charge (APC)
To cover operational costs including peer review, editorial management, typesetting, archiving, and server maintenance, ONCO applies an APC.
Submission Fee: No submission fee is charged.
APC: Payable only after the manuscript is accepted for publication.
Currency: Payments may be made in IDR for domestic authors or USD for international authors.
The journal offers an APC waiver policy for authors from low-income countries (based on World Bank classification) and for students or independent researchers without research funding, subject to an official written request submitted to the Editor-in-Chief during manuscript submission.
