Pengukuran Tekanan Darah Dan Edukasi Risiko Hipertensi Pada Masyarakat Melalui Kegiatan VNT Corner

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that remains a global health concern because it often develops without early symptoms. Limited public awareness regarding routine health screening contributes to delayed detection of hypertension risk. This community service activity aimed to improve public awareness about the importance of blood pressure screening and hypertension risk education through the VNT Corner program. The activity was conducted at Lumintang City Park, Denpasar, in April 2026 involving 37 participants aged 19–72 years. The methods included blood pressure examination, documentation of screening results, and direct health education regarding hypertension prevention and management. The results showed that most participants were in the 56–65 years age group, accounting for 14 participants (37.84%). Most participants had normal systolic blood pressure levels with 27 participants (72.97%) and normal diastolic blood pressure levels with 22 participants (59.46%). However, 4 participants (10.81%) had systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and 8 participants (21.62%) had diastolic blood pressure >90 mmHg. The VNT Corner program contributed positively to improving public awareness regarding the importance of early health screening and hypertension prevention through direct health education.
